Project Brief
Drake House, a former office building in Westminster, Central London, was converted into 61 luxury apartments by Barratt of London in 2015. The development offered an exceptionally stylish and elegant living experience, with high-quality fittings and décor, with the luxury and convenience of automated lighting, heating, ventilation and audio. by installing a automation system for each apartment.
A comprehensive, state-of-the-art home automation system was specified that would provide each apartment with control over lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation and audio distribution, providing a seamless and intuitive experience for all residents, from tech enthusiasts to those new to home automation systems.
The System
Automating everyday tasks, such as setting heating schedules and controlling both indoor and outdoor lighting, would simplify resident’s day to day activities and enable them to tune their living environment to the rhythm of their lives.
A major requirement was for the automation system to complement and enhance the luxury aesthetic of the apartments. The technology needed to blend seamlessly with the stylish interiors without affecting the overall design of the space. The system had to be both customisable and user-friendly, ensuring that all residents could control their living environment with ease.
