We provide support from conception to installation

Over the years we have worked with architects, interior designers, property developers, contractors and M&E consultants.

We have a wealth of practical experience to draw on in meeting the needs of the project and working to specific budgets.

We are happy to hear from you if you are a professional in the construction sector and would like advice on the solutions available for your project.

Architects

For Architects who have projects where home automation is required, Design Innovation offers a free, no-obligation meeting to discuss requirements and to offer advice. Adding technology to a building project discretely requires good planning. We work closely with architects at the design stage ensuring their clients’ requirements are catered for.

Interior Designers

Interior designers share our passion for discrete installation. The most visible element of most installations is the lighting keypad which can be sourced from a number of manufacturers with a huge range of finishes to suit any interior. Many keypads also incorporate a temperature sensor, thereby removing the need for a separate wall-mounted thermostat.

If you hate seeing loudspeakers then we can install completely invisible speakers that can be plastered over – you’ll be amazed how good invisible speakers sound! TV’s can be hidden in furniture on a motorised lift or disguised as a mirror for example.

Property Developers

Give your properties the “wow factor” and make them stand out! More and more buyers are looking for smart home features that provide comfort and convenience. With a correctly planned wiring infrastructure, many elements of a smart home can be added after the house is complete. For those that can’t, a more basic specification can be installed at day one with upgrades available for the buyer.

The focus for many buyers used to be predominantly around audiovisual distribution around the house, but we find this has changed over the last few years and people are looking for convenient, simple to use and energy-saving technology. Lighting controls & zoned heating controls are becoming popular. Our systems can start with these elements and then add more as upgrade packages for the buyer.

Control 4 is becoming more widely known as a home automation system, so making your homes Control 4 enabled could help clinch that sale!

Contractors

Partnering with Design Innovation to deliver Home Automation solutions allows you to concentrate on what you do best, leaving us to provide the best technology for your client. Home Automation systems are custom designed for the end-user and require work after the handover to customise them to suit the client’s individual needs. We can carry on with this process after completion, allowing you to move on to your next job.

A lot of our work is done off site, whether that is panel building, rack building or programming and we are set up for this with a well-equipped workshop. Doing more of the work offsite allows us to turn up to site with everything ready and working which is especially important as we’re invariably the last ones on site.

M&E Consultants

We have a lot of experience of being involved at the design stage and are happy to work with M&E consultants to ensure the specification matches their customers’ requirements. We have an engineering background and understand the need for properly designed and correctly specified systems.
